Martin Kahanovitz
Group Financial Director

Martin holds a BCOM honours majoring in accounting from Wits University. After completing his studies in 1992, Martin joined Fisher Hoffman Sithole where he completed his articles.

As a trainee accountant, he was exposed to different specialist areas of auditing and the accounting profession. This is where he made his decision to follow his passion for accounting. In 1995 he completed his articles and after passing his board exam became a qualified Chartered Accountant

He is currently the Group Financial Director of Litha Healthcare Holdings and has been since joining the company in 1996. He assumed the responsibility of managing all the financial administration for the organisation.

Martin has been instrumental in growing the company from a R40 million to a R1bn organisation and provides strategic input on corporate governance related issues for the company.

As Group Financial Director he oversees all company mergers, acquisitions and partnerships with local and international organisations. He has provided valuable financial insight into major transactions such as the Public Private Partnership which was signed with The Department of Health and Biovac SA in 2003. Martin has 15 years specialised financial experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
